is there really any difference? Im doing terrible in ochem II for many reasons, but I had to wait a year to take it. Ochem II is a choice in the spring but I dont want to wait cause I know how that is. Everything looks the same but ya never know.
My o-chem teacher who got his PhD (which I maintain is his Player-hatin' Degree) in New York, said the only thing about o-chem that's changed, since he took it as an undergrad over 30 years ago, is IUPAC naming rules.
Yea isn't that amazing? I've talked to my instructor and some of these reactions were discovered in the late 1800s. What they're doing in labs now are far more complex. E.g sonogashira, platinum complexes, etc. Although all the ochem material is just learning how to form and transform groups into each other. Its fun, like building legislation or something.
