Hello All,

Does the lifestyle between MOHS surgeons and general dermatologist differ greatly? What are the differences in salary, hours worked, etc? Thanks!

The answer very much depends on how one's practice is structured. The days that you would be doing MOHS would be less predictable than the gen derm days. Reimbursement per patient seen is higher for MOHS, but a busy general derm can do as well with a more predictable schedule. The 75th and 90th percentiles for the two vary by less than 10%. Good luck.

P.S. go for rads or rad onc if $$$ is a strong motivator -- $$/hr is much better
