I've read on the posts that a lot of people are saying there is a good amount of stuff on the test asking about things like tyrosine kinases, insulin receptors, g-protein receptors, etc.

I don't have access to HY molec cell (since I'm taking the test very soon I can't go out and buy it now...), and I can't find good resources in the stuff I have. Can someone please offer any advice on important points to know from these subjects? Thanks a million.

I haven't taken the exam yet...so bear that in mind. But from what I've seen on Qbank and from talking to other people:

1) Cancer Genetics...tumor suppressors, oncogenes...and the cell cycle.

2) Diseases with a genetic basis (Down synd, turners, angelman, etc)...the last few chapters of HY Embryo (if you have it) has a good summary of this stuff

3) Cell signaling (the receptors you mentioned) -you might be able to pull this info out of a good pharm book if you have one.

4) And the basics of cell function (e.g. what happens in the golgi vs. ER), and DNA replication etc.
