Moonlighting during OMFS residency in NY

Does anyone have any experience with attempting to moonlight during OMFS residency in New York State? Being that it is one of the only states where they require a residency for dental licensure, has any resident been successful in moonlighting during medical school years? How did you set that up?

I believe every program has a different set of protocols and/or rules - My program doesn't allow us to moonlight, its strictly prohibited and you can be dismissed from the program if you are caught. I am not sure if this is a statewide rule or not you would have to look.
