say you finish a section with 3 minutes to spare- do you have to end the section before leaving to take your break (bathroom/food) or can you just let the time run out on its own giving you effectively 13 minutes total?

apologize for the neuroticism...just curious :)

I would end it, because during the real exam you can't take a break while you're still in a section.

Are you sure? When I took the exam, I was told we were allowed to take a break in the middle of a section, but that obviously the timer wouldn't stop when we were gone.

thats definitely a rule? oh well
It wasn't a rule at my testing centre, but perhaps it varies.

at my test center, the proctor has a screen that watches everyone's test screen. They didn't let anyone out for break unless your screen/test was at the "break" section or else they made us go back in to end the section. This is in CA.
