I always get confused in this type of question?
Can anyone provide help possibly with an example?

I need help on this topic also....so confusing x_X

i like to think of those questions like this:

if the proton left, which molecule would yield the most STABLE product (lowest energy or charge etc.) aka most stable conjugate base?

The proton most easily removed by a base is the most acidic proton, a positive charge beats anything neutral. EWG's also make a proton more acidic (bigger partial positive charge), and sterics decrease proton acidity.
