What is the most common question people ask when they discover you are a Podiatrist or Podiatry student?

One of my most asked is "What is the best way to cut my toenails". What about the rest of you guyz/galz?

i always get questions about shin splints or bunions

just ask them what size bunions they have then they dont know what to say, and make them tell you in metric units. 😛

When I was in school, I got...

"My feet hurt here, what do you think it is?" and "My toenails are yellow and thick, do you think I have a fungus?"

I still get some questions to this day that deal primarily with plantar fasciitis.

how about "how can you stand stincky feet all day". i tell them that the feet are about the cleanest part of the body to specialize in. if they dont believe me i tell them to compare feet to any part of the body that contains a hole. especially a hole with hair around it. :meanie:

On the patient registration form, about once a month someone will write as their chief complaint: "***** TOE". ALways wondered if that way like CAMEL TOE.
