I put my classes for fall on there...they got X's

its prolly not because of the classes, but because you prolly didn't tag them as current/future...right? or are you just kidding?

I had three Xs.

1) They actually changed my Astronomy course to a BCMP. I didn't think that A would count, but apparently, it will. Yay.
2) They changed my weight training class from OTHR to EDUC.
3) They did something with a course that I withdrew from. I'm not sure exactly what, though.

Usually it's because AMCAS is dumb. My gym course on the transcript is listed as "Physical Education", so I put it that was on the application and picked the "others" category. When my app was processed, the class has an X next to it - they changed the category to "EDUCATION"

Brilliant

In their stupid instruction manual, they said that we should write P or F for pass/fail courses. But then, they also said that we should write down exactly how it is written on our transcript. So I typed in P for pass according to the AMCAS way instead of S, which shows up on my transcript. For this, I got tons of X's.

They put X's by my AP info, still not sure why grade still marked as "g", and gave me the credit.

im not gonna lose any sleep over it

I got X's for doing it the other way, so don't worry 🙂

It's not like X's hurt you...

I got an "X" for the first semester of full year research. The grade was IP (In Progress) but I took it to mean Pass/Fail for the first semester (according to my undergrad, you had to pass to continue to semester 2 research). AMCAS changed it from "Pass/Fail Course Type" to "Deferred Grade Course Type" Whatever the hell that means.

My fall classes do not show up on the transcript...what about you guys? I entered them in the best choice they gave me. Do you think it is a problem?

Not that I am siding with AMCAS, b/c they truly do suck, but the manual says to designate gym/physical ed. as education

Last Year when I applied, I included my AP credits as part of my calculation to estimate my cumulative unit total each semester, and hence my class standing as freshman, soph, junior, senior, etc.

Well, long story made short, the person who verified my app adjusted each semester back one class standing, riddled my entire AMCAS app with X's (practically every class). The end result: I still got in. So the point of the story is, if I got in with all X's, you can get by with your couple of X's. 👍
