Hi guys!
I had a question in my school offered CBSE. It was asking about the most common site of basal cell carcinoma in a 40 years old white male who participates in water skating activities at beach every 2 days.
Options were:
1- Head scalp
2- Back
3- Arms and chest
4- neck

What do you guys think is the most common location of BCC in this patient. Some sources say head and neck and some say back. please help !

Most common site by far is the head/scalp/face, 70% of BCCs arise there. You could possibly intuit this from his proclivity for water skiing predisposing his face to excessive UV both by direct exposure and reflection from the water.

Wouldn't hair protect the scalp though? And do water skaters wear those rubber suit?

Neck?..

Skin cancers are more common on the left side of the face due to more sun exposure during driving. ;)
