as far as i know they accept students from all over...i am applying there from ny , they may give a little preference to new yorkers but thats it
 
Nope, I'm not from the North East, but I got accepted early in the cycle. I don't think there's any kind of verifiable bias against non-East Coasters. You've definitely got a shot! Good luck.

Definitely... the day of my interview there were a few interviewees from the west coast, that proves they dont have a bias.
 
It's probably harder for NYC tri-staters to get in since they get tons of applicants from the area and they know each of these applicants are very likely to matriculate if accepted.

I wonder about this since a school wants to generally interview students who they know will attend their school if they are accepted.

not true, if you check MSAR or USNews, the acceptance rate for NY residents is higher than for non.
