well, it seems like I'm screwed...I either send the letter of rec that they have lost TWICE ALREADY!!!!! or my application is incomplete and I won't be able to get a refund!!! She also told me that they look for 3.6 GPAs and 10's on the MCATs....there go my chances....this is just wrong people!!! Waste of my fu-ken money!!! I guess I have to send the letter...

well I just sent the rec letter via regular mail. I could really care less if it gets there in one day or a month...I have no chance, so I just don't want to loose my $100 and get nothing back in return (i.e. my exclusive rejection letter from them). I think I might start a collection...

A collection of rejection letters? I have a bunch myself. I got 2 from stanford. they sent one to me early on, rescinded it, allowed me to fill out the secondary, and sent me another one!

Same thing happened to me with Yale. I've submitted my requirements early, yet the online status check reported that I lacked recommendations. I called and e-mailed about it, and they said not to worry, because it's just very slow, with AMCAS and all. Up about late December, I got tired of checking and told my pre-med advisor to resend the documents. A few days later, it was complete.

Anyway, I have this feeling that they thought I wasn't up to their standards, so they paid less attention to my application than others (I knew someone volunteering with me who got his app complete rather quickly, presumably thanks to his 36 MCAT and Ivy league undergrad). I don't think the person on the phone even bothered to check my application. I want none of the volume excuse, after all, application fees more than make up for that.
