I am new to this site and just getting going on my applications. Does anybody have any thoughts on the importance of the rankings of MPH programs in terms of career and job prospects after completion of the degree? Should my goal be to get into a top 5 school (according to US News & World Report Rankings)? Is alumni base important? And, if so what are some of the benefits of an education at a higher ranked school? In particular, I am shocked that the program at Yale is not highly ranked. Does anybody know why Yale is not viewed as a top notch program?
