***THIS POLE IS FOR SECOND YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS ONLY***

I am trying to get an idea of what other medical schools do in regards to lecture notes. Although "noteservice" is used by many, I was ALSO curious to know how many schools ALSO/OR have their lecture notes:

A: Printed up before class for them BY THE SCHOOL

B: Available for download prior to lecture & SELF-PRINTING

C: Have some other way to follow along with the lecturer (ie making the powerpoints/lectures available via a network, etc.)

Also (and this is VERY important), if you could post your SPECIFICS below the pole that would be great - ie. WHAT SCHOOL DO YOU GO TO AND YOUR ANSWER CHOICE!

Thanks in advance

CCOM: hard copies of all notes before lectures. Applies to both MS-1 and MS-2.

MS-2
Midwestern University-CCOM

We also have hard copies printed before all lectures for MS1 and MS2. (OSU-COM)

Some lecturers also make their presentations available online.

No notes before lecture for second year. We did have all notes provided to us before lectures last year. We do have noteservice that we get the next morning.

NSUCOM, MII

Notes are printed up for both MS-1 and 2 before the lectures and usually put in student mailboxes (sometimes picked up at the lecture) at AZCOM

In many instances notes for an entire week or test block will be printed up and put in the mailboxes. I guess that is part of the high tuition costs!

Why do you ask? Is there a problem with the Noteservice at NSUCOM?

Q, DO

I'm not an MS-II anymore, but I will answer for LECOM.

The note service at LECOM prints out all the lecture notes for the people who pay for the service. If you do not pay for the service the lecturers' notes are available online so you can download them and print them out yourself. Sometimes the lecturers would bring copies of the notes to class and they wouldn't go on the school's network.
