Has anyone had an elective in Neurosurgery at MSKCC? I am concerned about the practical aspects of the elective - is it really possible to get a practical experience or they just allow to observe procedures/operations "from a distance"? In UNC they write that during the acting internship you would get all the responsibilities of the first year resident, including patient presentations, procedure skills etc...
