Well Original -- lets not say POURS. It's been clear skies for me since the last couple. I pray that I get in SOMEWHERE.

Not offered one yet, but my status is now updated on the website so I was just curious.
Also, do they pay for your trip/travel expenses?•••
They give interviews via email. It was a little annoying, since they sent me the email on the 21st and wanted a response by the 25th (I was out of town that week) for an interview on the 6-8th of febuary. How in the world can you get airline tickets in that short a time? And, no, they don't pay for tickets, but they do pay for everything else, hotels, food, etc. They also say that they pay all expenses for a second look if you get accepted. Anyhow, I couldn't make that interview date and I called them and they said they were going to schedule at least one more date, but they don't know when. When I asked that they give me at least two weeks notice so that I could find tickets/let my boss know, they said that they'd try to do that.
Baylor: anyhow, I wouldn't stress it...you'll probably get an invite...and even if you don't you've already gotten into better places.
I've mentioned this before, but I really don't understand the randomness of this process. For instance, I still haven't heard anything from UC Irvine...a school I once thought of as a safety. I hope that some day I'll be privy to the admissions game and finally understand what it's all about.
Good luck all,
Adam

I'm blaming it on the mail. 😀 It takes about three weeks (!!) for mail from Canada to reach the US, despite the fact that I live about an hour from the border. So, most of my applications have only been complete since the beginning of January. Next time, I'm Fed-Ex'ing them, even if it costs $20 a letter in Canada.
Anyway, ya. I would've thought I would've heard something by now from the schools that have been complete since Nov/Dec... I've got pretty good stats (well, very good MCATs, decent GPA), and I'm active in student government (I was a finalist for a Rhodes Schoarship in my province). Oh well.
As to the MTSP... I am still seriously thinking about MD/PhD. I probably won't do it under the MSTP, though, just because so few schools offer funding to internationals (especially the schools that I'm interested in, like Duke (although Original suggests otherwise). I can get funding from the Canadian government for the PhD portion ($20,000 a year, actually), so it's not too bad.
Anyway, thanks for the support, guys!

when was your app complete and do you have any idea of when they stop interviewing?
Biting my nails over here.
THanks•••
Hey DarkChild!
I submitted my application online on Oct 6th. I received a snail mail letter from the MD/PhD committee confirming the application completion in early December. Don't worry b/c althouh the website posts Jan 28th as the last date but they plan to host two more sessions. They won't notify people about their admissions status until mid-March, so it sounds like they will interview until the end of Feb. Good luck on getting an invite!

The last MSTP interviews will be held on Feb 5, and Feb 12, 2002. I have no idea about the MD interviews. Sit Tight and pray for the Feb 12 date. I am almost giving up my chances for MSTP here. Oh well.

Congrats and good luck! I am sure that if you got MSTP at LEAST you will get and MD acceptance.•••
Hey RetroMan!
Thanks for the encouragement! And it looks like you're better informed on the interview dates. Don't give up hope!
