Natural Science Course - I know it sounds like a stupid question, especially since the title of the course says science in it, but it's not a normal course. You receive up to 3 credits by doing X amount of hours working on a research project you find. What are NSC courses?
I'm hoping I can list all NSC courses (NSC 495, NSC 497, NSC 498) all under science courses. I have 4.o all of them and would love for it to be included in my science GPA to help balance out my 2.0's freshmen year in gen chem 1 and gen chem 2.I listed my NSC 498 as a science course. I wasn't really sure what else to label it as and I'm just gonna leave the onus on AACOMAS to change it if they want to.
For NSC 495 (Capstone), I listed it as English because it fulfills my English requirement and it's essentially a writing class.
On another note, what is usually the english course requirements? Do WRA or IAH courses count?I listed my NSC 498 as a science course. I wasn't really sure what else to label it as and I'm just gonna leave the onus on AACOMAS to change it if they want to.

For med school. You need X amounts of credits. How many? Does WRA/IAH cover it?For med schools or for MSU? The only English class I've taken is WRA (taking NSC 495 this year). I don't know about IAH since I've been able to sub them with other classes with the Honors college.

If I do the same as you and use NSC 495 as a writing course, does that mean it cannot count towards my sGPA?It varies by med school but most require 6 credits of English. WRA should definitely cover it since those are pretty much writing/English courses. My advisor said that NSC 495 fulfills my English requirement for med schools (in addition to WRA 150). Go on DegNav and see what course(s) you have taken for your writing/English requirement. I would assume IAHs count because most of them have a WRA (Tier I) prereq for them. I would talk to your advisor and verify with them to make sure.

Sorry for extending this thread on and on, but could you tell me all the classes you have posted under science in your AACOMAS app? That is correct since you'll be listing it as English in AACOMAS.

What's HNF 150?CEM 141, CEM 161, CEM 142, CEM 162, HNF 150, BS 182H, BS 192H, CEM 251, BS 181H, BS 191H, CEM 252, PHY 231, PHY 232, PHY 251, PSL 310, ANTR 350H, BMB 401, NSC 498, PHY 252, BLD 204.
Planned: CEM 255 & ZOL 341. These are obviously not calculated as part of the sGPA since I haven't taken them yet but they are science courses.
