I took independent study hours 3 different semesters (different number of units as well) and they are all under Biology, listed as the same course number. How will this appear on the AMCAS (repeat course, etc.). Currently on my transcript it looks something like this:
Spring 20xx
-BIO xxx (3 units)
Fall 20xx
-BIO xxx (5 units)
Summer 20xx
-BIO xxx (1 unit)
I'm worried that adcoms might think this was taken to bump up my gpa etc. but it was the only way my PI give me research credit. I received a grade each time I took it and it did bump my gpa.
