I know there are a few people on this board who go to MWU-Glendale, so my question is for you (or I guess to anyone that knows someone that attends MWU). I am on the alternate list for the school and I was just wondering if any of you guys know people in your classes that were accepted off the alternate list, or could give a rough estimate as to how many people are generally accepted from the list each year. I understand that it varies from year to year and that last years numbers can't predict this years, but I'm just kind of curious as to where I stand because I really want to get in here!

Also, during my interview the admissions lady talked about an "on hold" list as well. Do you know which list is "better" than the other?

Thanks!

I know that people were taken from the waiting list, but couldn't tell you how many. As far as the hold list vs waiting list:

hold list means that they have not made a decision on your status yet; they're basically waiting to see who else is out there; from there you could be accepted, declined, or (I'm assuming) waitlisted

wait list means that they've made their decision; and your just waiting to see if any seats open up

not sure if one is really better than the other; you're in limbo either way

I have been accepted at MWU-CPG and I can tell you this that there is a group of us that have only until April 15 to have the matriculation agreement and deposit postmarked. I would think then that you would find out relatively soon if you have gotten a seat or moved up on the list. Good luck and I hope things work out for you. 🙂

There is one final week of interviews scheduled for next week. As of last week, I heard that about 70 students have been accepted. I really haven't heard of there being a difference between the "wait" and "hold" lists, but I know that there are LOTS of people on that list. I wouldn't count on hearing anything soon. Those last seats are the most competitive, and some people who were accepted and paid deposits already may be waiting to hear from other schools before they give up their seats.

I'm giving up my seat.

Sadly I may have to give up my seat too if my fiance cannot get his job transferred to AZ. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bummed when I found out. I may cry!

Will you still be attending school somewhere then??

Well, I'm either going to Creighton, KU, or OU. Been accepted to Creighton and liked it a lot while I was there, but I think I really want to go to KU. However, they're far behind on admissions and so I'm waiting on word from them. I liked OU too and am also waiting to hear from them. So, in short, I have no idea where I'm gonna end up!

I will end up going to MWU-chicago

I just called yesterday and they told me that just over 100 people were accepted. Whether or not that number is the number of people who turned in their money, I do not know for sure. they said that if they call alternates, it won't be until the end of April - at the earliest.

Yeah, last week more acceptance letters got sent out. Three more days of interviews, and final decisions will begin to be made. :luck:
