Greetings to those who are applying to Midwestern Glendale's Pharmacy program for the Class Of 2016!

I am a first year MWUG pharmacy student currently in my second quarter. If you have any questions about the application/interview process, academic rigors, or books to buy (for those who eventually get accepted and decide they want to attend here, I have a pharmacy calculations book for purchase if you want it), let me know!

I am also a first year in my second quarter, so feel free to holler at me if you have any questions as well 🙂 For me, it took less than a week. I believe the average was anywhere between 2-7 days, depending on when the next interview cycle is.

If you study and retake the PCAT, I think you have a good shot at getting an interview.

And they have yet to receive my PCAT scores. It was just added onto PharmCAS on the 30th of August. 🙁

-2.81 Science GPA calculated by PharmCas. (I graduated with a 2.55 GPA; 4.0 for the last 41 units at CC including re-taking some pre-reqs)
-8 years of working in pharmacy
-93 composite on PCAT

I got an interview invite! Still debating on which date to sign up for >,< 26th or 28th. I submitted my supp app on Aug 15th- received "all documents completed" email from them on Sep 4th. I tremble in anticipation...

Does anybody know how their interview process is set up?

Thank you! I think you should be fine. I think it took so long for me to complete was because of my PCAT scores. They were uploaded onto Pharmcas on the 30th, I was complete on the 5th and email invitation on the 7th. 🙂 I think you should still be fine if you submit next week!

Depending on how many are interviewing, they will split you into groups.
One group will go for a tour while another interviews.
Interviews are generally small group (3) interviewing small group (3), although it depends on the number of interviewees.
Lunch
There may or may not be additional material this year, I'm not in a position to know.

Bring a pen or pencil you like to use. 🙂
Also, there will be a current student or two to talk to starting about 7:30 if you get there early and again at lunch.

Stop at security at the gate & they will tell you where to go when you arrive. I didn't have trouble with parking when I interviewed, but if you can't find a spot outside Barrel 3, you can always use the parking garage - just park on the 2nd floor or above.

It's three interviewees and three interviewers in the same room. An interviewer will ask a person and choose one of you to answer first, it should alternate on who goes first. Also sometimes there is a tiny essay to write, I had one when I interviewed, my friend didn't.

It's not bad, you can pretty much write about whatever you want if it's the same prompt I got, and it's like a paragraph. But all they have is golf pencils, so that's why I say bring your own writing utensil. Not the end of the world if you forget, but I was glad I had one.

Yes there is a short essay to write. Only 1500 characters, so not too bad at all.

i have my interview tomorrow morning! im flying in from california. do you have any suggestions i have a few questions
1) how big is the interview group
2) is there anything to do around the campus
3) anything i should know about the interview that are out of the norm?
