I want to apologize to Gavin. Gavin has given me great advice in the past and he has even defended me at times on this forum. Yes, I was upset with him because I felt he was being condescending and rude when I criticized his school. No, I didn't make anything up about Gavin and I still believe he is you-know-who! 🙂 But that is beside the point. Whether he is using other aliases or not, I shouldn't have tried to expose him. That was wrong of me. I should have just PM'd Gavin and acted like a man instead of being petty and making a mockery of this board. So I apologize to the other members of this board as well for stirring unnecessary drama.

Nonetheless, I do want to say that Gavin is a great guy. He is passionate about his school. And yes, he may get a little pyscho in defending his school but he never means ill will. He is human and he got angry with my remarks like anyone who is proud of his school would have. Likewise, I took it too far and I didn't have to play private eye.

Anyway, I wanted to write this so those of you who had doubts about Gavin after yesterday will hopefully realize he is a good guy too.

Okay now I better get back to watching Dr. Phil....I mean college basketball.

That's very mature of you mcataz.

Dude, props to you. I really appreciate that.

As everybody knows, I don't hide behind anything here, I never have and I never will.

My name is Gavin Christensen, and I go to ASDOH. Hell, most of you could know my life history from the past 6-month by reading my Arizona "diary" thread. I never once have lied to anybody on this forum. Not one single time.

I have no need for aliases because they don't serve me at all. I've always worn my heart on my sleeve when it comes to SDN. Those of you who I've ticked off (which is probably nearly everybody after nearly 4,000 SDN posts) know that I don't shy away from my opinions. I look forward to being a contributing member of SDN for many years to come.

My one gripe has always been that there haven't been enough practicing dentists around here--I'm determined to visit and revisit SDN throughout the years to make sure other posters never feel that way.

You guys know who I am and know where to find me. Feel free to contact me anytime. Of course, the advice is free, so that probably says something about the quality of it.

Now back to my book. Anybody read "The DaVinci Code"? I'm only on p. 27 but it's a sweet novel...

Glad to hear that you've decided to stay! SDN needs supportive people like you all. 🙂

GavinC, I read The DaVinci Code when it first came out. It is an excellent read, although I think Brown, at times, stretches the truth a bit. You will know what I mean when you get to it.

I agree. I?ve read Angels & Demons and The Code. Brown is a good storyteller, but his facts get skewed the further you get in. I just finished Max Ludington?s Tiger in a Trance and thought it was great.

If you guys want a book to read, look at "Bringing Down the House". Its a true story about how 6 MIT kids took Vegas for millions. You will find it in the "games" section of bookstores, where all the gambling books are located.
