im a late applicant, schools are just starting to get my paper application. honestly, what are my chances of getting an acceptance or even an interview at howard.

If you're white or asian...your chance is not as good. My stats are higher than that...but I haven't heard jack from them. They just took my money and ran away like the wind. However, I already got accepted to a couple of places, and they are my top choices, so I'm calling to withdraw!

Howard started interviewing a little later than most schools. If your app is going to get there soon, you should be fine.

if you are of from INDIA does that count as asian,, or do you mean oriental? i called them and asked if i dont send my photo would it matter, they said yes it helps in the processing. any advice for an indian bro.

Usually Asians don't see Indians as our fellow Asians (feel free to join us, i'm sure we will welcome you as part of the group)...but Americans categorize you as Asians. You will be counted as an Asian during the application process. I know you can leave the race thing plank but your name and your face during the interview sorta give it away. I'm looking at the stats right now 666 asians applied only 6 got in Howard, meanwhile only 397 blacks applied 64 got in. That's pretty twisted! Don't be fooled with Howard's DAT and GPA, it doesn't apply to you or me. You will have a better shot at big private schools like Tufts, NYU, etcc.... NYU seems to be fair and consistant with the #of applicants/#of acceptance for asians....110 of us are there 🙂

can't really say. tell us more about othe aspects of your application. Your stats seem low, but maybe you have done other things.

honestly...I don't really know the answer for that one. They will probably think of you and relate you to the people in the Middle East. I don't think they will think of you as the asians like the Chinese, Koreans, or Viets. It might work for you, rather aganst you. However, at the end it will be your stats. Just my 2 cents.

I don't know for sure about Iranians/Persians being counted as URM but I do know they are pretty well represented in dentistry.
