I applied to 10 schools and got accepted to a couple of them (yay!), but they're not my top choices. If I haven't heard back/been asked for an interview from those schools (UCLA, Tufts, Baylor....) What are the chances that I have get asked for an interview AND get accepted?

I have a 3.98 GPA and 22 DAT.

I'd say anyone's chances of getting an interview and an acceptance now within the next couple of months is pretty slim....I'm sure there are plenty of wait-listed people who would be given priority over you cause you haven't had an interview with them yet...

What I suggest is pay the deposit to the top school out of your acceptances, and then wait to hear back from UCLA/Tufts/Baylor....if you happen to get accepted into any of them and decide to attend, then you will loose your deposit money, but in my opinion it is the safest way (although it is expensive....and people may hate you for it)....GL ;P

how does that make sense? schools dont fill up 100% of their seats pre dec first. there should be around 33 to 50% of seats left for post dec interviewiews. I believe that SDN might be underrepresented in that area and therefore it seems that way, but I dunno how much chances one actually has for a post dec interview. It might be a very low or a very moderate %.

This.

Schools are still looking at new applicants and new people to interview. No idea what the percentages are, and of course it varies from school to school. A school doesn't necessarily take someone off the wait list over someone who interviews in February. Often times the former was wait-listed for a reason, and if they end up liking someone else better, it's not going to matter how late they were interviewed.

So just throw down a deposit and sit and wait for a top choice. Maybe you'll hear something. It's out of your hands right now anyways.

i dont know about you but i'll be inquiring my other schools about my application status since I didn't receive interviews. since i've already been granted an acceptance, i don't see anything here to lose?

👍 good idea. i do plan to call abiout 4 schools about my application status as well.

I'm in a similar situation. Only hold a couple of acceptances and not to any of my top choice schools. I suppose all we can do now is make the best decision possible at the moment and hope for the best later on. 🙁 More waiting.

Depends on the school and how popular it is. In regards to OP, I know Baylor's last day to interview is around Jan. 12 but the odds of you getting in after Dec. 1 are fairly slim because most people don't turn it down and they send out enough invites to fill their class.

Tufts interviews pretty late. The people that I know who are attending school there were interviewed around Feb, so don't give up.

Yea, I got a Tufts acceptance and I interviewed in November...which is when they first started interviewing applicants. Their whole schedule is pushed back a couple of months when compared to a lot of schools.
