I'm an IMG. I have scored a 220/91 for my step 1 . Its a low score. Please tell me my chances for a residency position in Internal Medicine or Paediatrics if I do well in my step 2 CK. I'm desperate to know.Please help me!

How is 220/91 a low score? It's an above average score. You should be fine for IM or Peds, even if you score = on Step 2.

220 is above the average for US and canadian medical students, so the OP should relax b/c he beat 50% of AMGs (who were taught/trained to pass Step 1). However, it is well known that competition for residency spots is at an all-time high (IM and Peds included). So an even higher Step 2 score (preferrably 99) would significantly improve his chances of matching.
