My optimization is in the 80s...

I don't think so. My Supe has been fighting fro more hours and gets nowhere fast. You can email [email protected] ...
I think that is the correct email. If it is, they usually respond pretty quickly depending on the issue.
However the demand hours is given by corporate- and can be re-allocated accordingly by your supervisor with regional's approval...

I am not saying your sup is incorrect in this.
Corporate gives your sup a budget with recommendations for stores. Your sup can re-allocate hours if he wants in the beginning of the year among the stores (sometimes needing approval of the regional manager). This allows him to plan strategically on a district level.
MySchedule takes over from there after hours are finalized. (at least currently). It is now based on previous demand and foward trending (thank god for the latter). BC of this, corporate doesnt want us going over that. One of the main reasons is because stores dont know how to flex up and down properly. The reasoning is even if a store is meeting budget, MySchedule will catch up and see that and allocate more hours.
This is false. This is the way it used to be. When the Supes get the numbers now, they are read only. They have zero ability to change these numbers
There is no flex anymore. Look at your green sheets and look at myschedule. There is no correlation. I am, doing over 5% ov3r budget after beating budget by 5% last year and I have less hours than last year.
Bring it up to the MySchedule team. What they specifically told me is that your SIX-WEEK trend has to be +150 scripts IN A ROW in order to be flexed up by them manually. What happened was my store was over that for 4 of the 6 weeks so there was no justification for them to flex up (crazy right?). So your store has been over budget by that amount for a 6 week period, bring up the numbers email it to them, and follow up.
But again, if your store is doing well (MCE/WeCare) I won't be surprised that the MySchedule team thinks you don't need the extra hours.
You have to be over by 150 scripts per week for six weeks to pre-flex. Miss one week and you are off and have to start again. So at 2700 per week I would have to beat budget by 6% to preflex.......
The system would "pre-flex" for you (or according to MySchedule) if you beat budget by that much for 6 weeks in a row.
Again, it's simply another method for CVS to make profits by ensuring you stay within budget. They know most stores won't, that's why they made the budget so low to begin with.
So what, do you realize how hard it is to beat budget by 150 scripts per week every week. It's *****ic that it's not a percentage.
Has anyone ever gotten written up for being over hours?
I'm curious to see how that works. Is corporate just trying their hardest to get us to work hard within budgets, or is it real? Part of me thinks its just a ploy to get us to stay within budget. If it happens, great, the company is happy. But more likely than not, stores will be over.

If your supervisor actually put in writing that you were being disciplined for being over hours...you could bring that document to the board of pharmacy and in most states it would be a violation of pharmacy regulations. You actually do have some legit power as the PIC although most corporations hope you don't realize it or exercise it. Very few PICs would ever have the huevos to do that.

I was actually written up for it. I knew I was on my way out the door so I didn't really care.
See, this is what I don't get. Some say you will get written up, some say its impossible. I believe in mySchedule, but who doesn't want more hours? Lol. If you can get away with it, then more power to you...
