I called the grad. admissions office about that same thing a couple of weeks ago and was told that all they need for now is your official transcript from where you received your B.S. You might want to call and double check, but she told me that is all they need to process your application and send it to the DPT dept, since they receive so many applications, and if you are accepted they will need the rest.

Thank you for your help, I will need to contact them and pray that they will still consider my application even if they get my transcript in a week or so...yikes!! I hope it isn't to late...

Make sure you are asking your guestion to the PT dept. regarding the grad school app. When I applied I was strickly told by the DPT dept to make sure I got the official tranny in to the grad dept by the due date and AGAIN when I have my degree. Apparently the grad school has their rules and an acceptance has to run through them as well. Good Luck.

So I sent an email and this is what I got in return...

"Thank you for your application to the Physical Therapy - Entry Level program at Northern Arizona University for the Fall 2012 semester.

The Department of Physical Therapy at NAU is participating in the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). To complete your application, if you have not already done so, you must also submit a PTCAS application located at www.ptcas.org.

I'm not applying there, so I don't know all the specifics, but do they want you to submit the Academic Update through PTCAS? That may be what they are telling you to do.

I hope that's what they want, cause my AU has already been submitted and sent to my schools. Their PTCAS deadline was Nov 1st, so I'm hoping that they have already made their decisions, if I remember correctly NAU will be sending notifications in a few weeks. Supp apps were due by Dec 31st, so I don't think that they need an official transcript if they are sending out interview invitations in three weeks...

I know students are still on break not sure about the offices. But NAU /PT dept was pretty specific about getting the official trannies into the grad. school w/ your grad school application in addition to the PTCAS procedure.

Your application to the PT program at NAU has been recieved from PTCAS and it is now under review by the adm. com. We will likely make a decision regarding invitations for an interview by mid Jan.

Please be sure to complete the grad college application and send transc to the graduat college in additon to PTCAS.

Thank you for your interest in the PT program at NAU

Sincerely---blah blah :-0

The grad app is on line - have you done this? I was told by Jill G (DPT dept) that I needed to have the grad app and O. Transcripts in ASAP not to wait for AU, interviews or acceptance. They will want another official if you are accepted to show your BS/BA if you are still in progress. My stuff was all in by end of Sept.

Yea I finished the supp app in early December. I'll send one out today and hopefully I'm still considered.
