Hello everyone, apologies for similar posts the process of obtaining concrete answers from some recruiters has been difficult and asking for clarification leads to radio silence.

I was curious if anyone here is either a navy reserve physician or has experience to describe the duration and frequency of navy reserve deployments. I'm a surgery resident and would actually want to be deployed for humanitarian missions but also for forward surgical team deployments in theatre (ex iraq or Afghanistan).

Do navy reserve surgeons deploy to theatre if requested? If not what is the typical deployment for surgeons? What is the duration of deployment, is it similar to the "90days boots on the ground" policy of the army?

Thanks in advance and apologies for the multiple questions. I'm very interested in signing up but these seem to be questions that turn off recruiters

I can answer Army questions. The 90 day policy is correct for the Army. No idea on Navy though, sorry!
