Hi! I am not sure about the DDI 2010-2011,but the older versions are definitely not enough. From what you've mentioned the First Aid( quite a few good pictures) is not bad for revising, presuming you know the material quite well and need some refreshing, but I wouldn't use it as a primary source.Dent essentials are the same as the FA I but a bit paraphrased.Mosby I is brief for most of the parts but is very useful for TMJ.I would recommend literally memorizing the material from it regarding TMJ.And the material is located is 3 different parts of the book, you don't want to miss it.Kaplan notes are a must despite their size.If I had to take the exam once again(thanks God I passed it) I would read the Kaplan at least 3 times(2 months),supplemented by the Mosby for TMJ ,than DDI(1 month),than I would solved all the released qs. at least twice(1,5-2 months), and if scored at least 85-90 in released qs. from the first time I would took the exam.Hope it will help.Good luck!

thanx WTP but i also want to know what exactly are kaplan notes and where can i get them from? congratulations for passing the exam though, what was your score?how many hours per day you studied?i graduated in 2002🙁so am not that well knowing the materials,in some i may even need to start from scratch

Check the ebay for kaplan notes, they sometimes appear there.I studied for about 6 months,5-8 hours a day.I graduated in 1997,first time taker, score is 87.

i think i can have an approach to USMLE's kaplan notes,do they help?do u have any idea about the diffrences between them and ours?

If you mean an 8 volume Kaplan lecture notes set,it is way to detailed for the NBDE I.There is a 4 volume home study USMLE step I review set,it has more than 1700 pages all together😱.It is a very good supplementary material if you have time to read it.The NBDE I Kaplan is mainly an abbreviated version of this book, plus it comprises topics for dentistry. You can check for the USMLE here: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2009-EDITIO...0?pt=US_Texbook_Education&hash=item4cf14f034c

Congratulations passing the exam!!! I graduated in 2001, but finally decided that is time to go back to school. I'm studying decks but it takes to much time and is difficult for me since I work full time. Would you really recommend Kaplan Lecture notes and Q-bank? Thank you very much for your help and good luck!!!!🙂

hi!i am gonna start my study for part1. Can anybody tell me where can i get kaplan lecture notes?

Hi sdf88,
You can get a 2010 Edition Lecture Notes copy by purchasing a package through Kaplan at http://www.kaptest.com/nbde . Kaplan obtains copyrights for its material and doesn't allow the reselling of its products; however, sometimes you can find used copies on ebay.com and amazon.com .
Good luck with your studies!
