National Board Dental Examination Part I Blackout Dates
Testing will not be available from 1/21/2008 to 2/4/2008 for essential system maintenance.

Is this what they do normally every year?
or are they really changing the NBDE part 1 curve?

ADA did this when they were launching last year the new format.
and since then its harder to score more than 90.

since the 2007 had a big impact on scores,
most of the students are scoring in 84-89 range.

what do you think?
will there be a new curve?
will it be same as 2007? or harder or it'll get easier?

National Board Dental Examination Part I Blackout Dates

what do you think?
According to the ADA....

"During a short period of time every year, it is necessary to perform essential system maintenance and to revise and update examination content in response to validity studies for all examination programs conducted by the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations and the Council on Dental Education and Licensure. Examinations are unavailable to candidates and examinees during this blackout period."

So... I guess we will find out what they mean by "revise and update examination content"... even though (I think) they will not make the test any easier. 🙄
