Hi,
I need help can you tell me if I'm allowed to retake Part I in 2010? I took this exam in 2008 and I'm not satisfied with my score.🙁
I call Joint comission but they once told me that I can and another time that not because since 2010 we are going to have Pass/Failed system.

P/F has been officially pushed back to Jan of 2012.

Yah, but people here are saying, that if you passed your exam before 2010, you will not be able to retake it regardless of how low your score is (say 75). This really bites for those who will be taking it in 2010, b/c it basically means you can only take it once? Seems kind of strange. I would think that until it goes to pass/fail, and people are getting numerical results, they should be able to retake it to improve their score. After all these scores will still be reported.

You should phone them to confirm, b/c it this is true and you want to improve your score, you have to do it now... hopefully not.

I mailed ADA and thts wht they told me

Candidates will no longer be able to retake the examination once they have passed it starting in 2010. 75 and above is considered passing. If you have any further questions please call us at 1-800-232-1694.
