NBME: how to use, which ones

hey folks. there seem to be different opinions on SDN on how many to take, which ones are representative, etc.

i was wondering what people here have found to be good ways of using the NBME's. (only as score indicator, study aid, way to practice taking test, etc.)

it would be helpful to hear how many NBME's people took, how many weeks out, and if it's useful for learning material.

the 1st ones are the easiest and last ones hardest as a general rule
in terms of learning material,there will be the exact same concepts on the actual USMLE but in a different question format, atleast i had on my actual step from the 4 nbme -800 qns I took which is not a coincidence at all
