Hey all,

Check it out

It can only be taken if the school offers it, and only a select few do.
It's relatively new. What weight do yall think this will carry in the future?

Anyone??? Wow I'm beginning to realize how NOT frequented the Int'l forums are here on SDN. Either that or ppl are just too lazy to click on a link ^_^

Just in case it's the latter (Which I doubt), here is the basic info from the site:


"The iFoM examinations are part of a larger collaboration between the NBME, FAIMER & international and North American faculties to provide a portfolio of assessment instruments, consultation, and services to the international educational community."

"The content outline for the Clinical Science Examination covers the international core of clinical knowledge expected of students in the final year of undergraduate medical education in:

Medicine
Surgery
Pediatrics
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Psychiatry

Currently the iFoM examinations are available in paper and web-based format through selected participating international universities. In the future, the NBME plans to offer the examination using secure computer-based testing facilities."
