Yeah, at my school we were told in order to pass you had to score within two standard deviations of the national average. From what I understand: The passing score is 400. It is scored like the boards off the national average, so there is no set "passing average"

I just don't know what to expect for this exam on 10/21
Does anyone know how long the exam is? Does everyone take it at the same time?
the tests are just weird to begin with i don't really know how one should study--i mean study like step 2 material but aside from that, i'm at a loss
there is no way to cover all the material for an osteopathic exam
wait, i take that back. there is this foundations book that is the DO Torah...
it's big, heavy and full of esoteric osteopathic factoids.
everyone told me that the OMM shelf exam was easy. well, i did 40 Q out of the back of the savarese book to prepare for it and got about 36 of them right (self confessed OMM C student here) and decided that that was enough to prepare for the test.
the OMM shelf exam was NOT easy. the questions in savarese are a LOT EASIER.
if the numbers that ppl are posting are accurate, and it is tested on the 400/500 scale with a SD of 79, just like the comlex, then it is really easy to pass. (i got 600+ on comlex I, 500 on the OMM shelf)
you can never prepare for these exams. people will tell you to read savarese, or other DO books... but no matter what you do, anyless of reading the entire foundations book, you will never be able to cover all the esoteric topics out there.
