I'll start with I'm ABEM certified and will be through 2030...
Having said that several in our group are looking at NBPAS option as they are now designated as equivalent source agency. After the (re)current issues with ABEM (namely changing 10yr to 5yr, increased $$$, etc) and the foreseeable escalating fees/requirements (as experienced with IM) our group is considering possibly allowing alternative board certification(s) - we'd still require EM residency.
Anyone else looking at changing requirements within their groups from ABEM to allow NBPAS? Issues that you've seen?
