Nope, I emailed them and got the same response. 2nd quartile and they get “pretty far down the list”.

Got an update from UNC about my waitlist position, went from 32->20. Still don’t think I’ll get in because it’s a desirable school to attend and I don’t think 20 people ahead are going to drop their position.
