Can someone please recommend a hotel to stay at for interviewing at Midwestern? And also any travel recommendations..such as rent a or dont rent a car, take a taxi, etc ...will be very helpful.

I'd definitely recommend car rental. Taxi service can be difficult to find in Phoenix area. (And really expensive from the airport to the school)

The college is a good half hour plus drive depending on the traffic. Here are a couple hotels that are about 2 miles away. the school itself is planning on building a hotel in the future but as of now it isn't even started.

if you do a map search between the school and those locations, it is less than a 5 minute drive plus it is close to any type of food and shopping etc you'd want.

how much is car rental for 2 days there?
any recommendations?

if under 25 YO, you are looking at 30-35 a day without insurance. if over 25, then maybe a bit cheaper like 20-25 a day respectively. if i were you, i would look it up online and reserve cuz its just cheaper that way.

the papers that Midwestern sent to you with the interview invitation has all the hotel accomodations, taxi , and shuttle info.

I called the country inn one to find out the rates for Jan 11-12 and they told me $129 for MWU interviewees. Plus they have free shuttle and they are 4.3 miles away from MWU. They say their shuttle leaves from 7:15-7:30 and should make it to the campus by 8:00 am, the start of the interview day.

I called AJ transportation and they told me it would be 10 dollars one way from the airport to MWU. They told me 50 dollars from the airport to my hotel.
Super shuttle costs 25 dollars from airport to MWU and 21 dollars from airport to my hotel.

Airfare from california to sky harbor airport = 124
Hotel =129
Transportation = 21+10 =31 dollars

Total = 284

I don't feel if this is the best package. Anyone else find a better package?
Should I get the car rental? How much is it for 2 days?

I found another hotel 1.3 miles away from MWU at 99.99 for the night.

I also found car rental in phoenix is 42.22 for two days.
Pick up 3pm on day 1 and drop off 4:00pm the next day.

So if pick this hotel and car rental, instead of the previous hotel, shuttle, and taxi service, I save myself 20 bucks and the worry of whether my taxi or shuttle can get me there on time!

Be sure to bring something to read--there's a LOT of down time (like 3 hours)!

how long after submtting the supplemental did you guys hear back from Midwestern Glendale? I turned everything in mid November and have yet to hear anything 🙁

umm... it take a while to get a response cuz by November there is a lot of peoples applications to look at. when i turned in my supp application, it was another 2 to 3 months before i got the interview. but it may be different due to i turned mine's in like crazy early and got the first interview spot. but hang in there. if you got more than average stats, its a good ride for ya. if your stats are average (like mine) work on making your personality shine (but hey that shouldnt be a prob right?) hang in there. you'll get it.

i recently received a Supplemental application from Midwestern University and can you please tell me what you wrote on one of your essays for the question that said
" explain how you have prepared yourself for the rigors of a health professional education?
