Hi! I’m looking into applying but I’m struggling to find any solid information on applying as someone with my background. I’m a non traditional applicant — I have an undergraduate degree in genetics & genomics and a masters in medical sciences from two US universities. I took the MCAT in 2021 and got a 508 but am retaking now in hopes of a higher score to offset my GPA (cumulative GPA for both degrees is a 3.38 and my science GPA is 3.33) :///

I have ~400 shadowing hours, decent volunteering (will be doing more soon in a free clinic weekly) and I’m looking into a clinical research coordinator position after finish my exam to get more tangible research experience/keep up clinical experience as I left my previous job as a medical assistant (~1500 hours).

I’m wondering what my odds are with any of the schools in Ireland as I kind of feel subpar as an applicant…. I’m shooting for an MCAT around 515 if possible (God willing) but my outside activities are nothing crazy. I have decently interesting hobbies (including learning Irish — I’m Irish American and grew up in an Irish Catholic home where I was told about the last Irish speakers in our family who didn't pass on the language and I became interested in gaining some fluency because of that) but again feel I have no significant “it factor” that would set me apart from other applicants. I haven’t really found any info on recent accepted US applicants stats or anything and I’m trying to get a realistic view of my chances… Thank you in advance to anyone who provides insight!!!
