Hi,
It's a good score, provided you have a good score in speaking and written section( above 24)
Some schools look for good score in particular section but schools like NYU look at the total score. ur score is good for NYU for sure.

Although my total score is 104,my individual scores in writing and speaking are 24&23 respectively.Is this ok or will i have a problem with admission? Please give me some suggestions.. am confused.

Funny.. I had exactly the same numbers, with 29 &28 reading & listening respectively, and a total of 104. Although I got a bunch of acceptance and I haven't heard any comment, neither good nor bad, on my score, I would suggest you retake if you think you can do better...It would make a difference when comparing two candidates with similar credentials, since its the second standarized criterion after Part I. I retook exactly one year after the first try and got 111 (29, 28, 27, 27) with no preparation whatsoever.

i would suggest you to apply with the scores u have,
i don't think u need to retake it right now & miss your application deadlines.
after all applications are turned in, if u have spare time u can re try your TOEFL & if u get a better score, u can always update your records at various schools.
mostly you shouldn't face any pbms with 104.

i have heard that at UPENN they need 25 in writing. please call them up and ask for this requiremet. ur total score is great. but that is what i heard..i am not too sure though
