Thanks for the information!
I graduated in 2003 and recently decided to apply for a post-bac program. I am thinking about applying to Columbia's post-bac premed program for spring so I can start earlier than later but is starting a spring term a bad idea? what classes can i take since most science classes are full year?
also If i want to take classes in spring, i would feel like i have to be in nyc because i started working at my new job in july. If i stay in nyc, i would think of going to hunter, nyu or columbia. Nyu is just as expensive as columbia so it sounds like columbia might be better? Is it better to get 3.7 at hunter or 3.3 at columbia?
staying at my job is good financially because if i work full time, i can get 75% reimbursement. But it seems like i should go to postbac for full term during the second year in which case i won't get the financial help from work.
If I apply for next fall, i would consider harvard's extension school because it's cheaper, but would ideally like to get a job there and take classes for free. Anyone know about working at harvard and taking post-bac premed classes? is it free only if you take one class and not more? what's the best way to find a job there?
anyway, giving my situation, would waiting for fall and apply to harvard and columbia be good. i want to finish postbac as early as possible but also have least loan and get to a decent med school.
thanks for helping!
