My Stats:

Caribbean Student (small no name school):
Step 1: 209/85 (2nd attempt)
Step 2 CS: PASS (1st attempt)
Step 2 CK: 194/78 (1st Attempt)

Applied to 136 programs, FM, IM, ER.
no interviews, and 23 Rejections.

I need advice. All help is appreciated.

double check that the programs you applied to are IMG friendly. i dont know how many you are applying to in each field, but you may want to consider applying to more since you're diversified into 3 fields. did you apply to places where you did rotations?

Well, all you need is 1 interview and 1 acceptance. You're only 1/5th through your list. With more and more US medical schools, it only gets tougher for international graduates. But that's life, so either keep your chin up, or consider training in another country outside of the US.

Thanks, you are right. ideally speaking, I just need 1 interview. As for training in other countries any specific one come to mind, where it might be easier.

If you are not getting interview there might be something terribly wrong with your application. In addition to that fail are there any other red flags?

It would be helpful to know which "small" no-name school you are talking about.

1. Like others have said: you only need one...and you have applied for >100, which is what I would do in your place.

2. I don't have more advice for you specifically.

3. Other advice: Tell others to seriously consider attending "small, no-name" carib schoools...if you rock, you rock. If you don't, then....

I am not FM, so I have no idea...but I will say that most of your "ER" apps where a waste with a failure or two of the "Steps" and an otherwise weak app...apply to more and more....

Best,
HH
