I have a 3.8 science GPA, but I had taken multiple 12 units semester in my community college and multiple 12 unit quarters in my university with volunteer work throughout the years. I have 1 withdraw in my general chem class really early on.

I'm currently taking 12 units this quarter as well with volunteer work. I'm really depressed after my performance on my immunology test. The class is pretty difficult for me, I got really sick, but ultimately I know I should have tried harder and studied more.

I screwed up hard and my midterm grade is probably around the C- or lower. Honestly, I don't think I'm capable of bring it in the B range. Should I withdraw and retake this course or should I work through it?

that's too bad you got SICK during IMMUNOLOGY!! If this is at a CC i would drop it. The most important asset in your application is a high GPA. If it's already high and wont hurt you too much then just eat the grade, but if it's like 3.4ish right now, I would bail.

You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Give it some more time, and put more effort into it than ever. If it's still not working then, withdraw.

A B is definitely better than a W in my opinion.

The very first grade on my transcript is a W! no one cared to question it.

Ah, I just tried to withdraw today. It turns out the biology department here has a really strict withdraw policy and only allows you to do so in extreme circumstances. I will have to just try my best.

thats insane...at my school u can w.draw anytime before the drop date in any class (usually like a week or two after midterms)
the exception is a limit on W's...3 as a freshman and then 1 each subsequent year...but yea i think a W is better than a C...unless its a C+ so tell them that the professor reminds you of your dead relative and u cant stand to b enrolled in the course or something...lol j/k 😀 good luck and hit the books hard
