😕 Quick Question when you're in med school. how do you pay for your bills, espscially if you are married or living with your girlfriend or boyfriend... just wanted to know how to get through it for 4 years without a job or should get a part time job ???? need help please

I borrowed $57,000 this year. Just about everyone has massive loans, Stafford and alternative

that's all right BK, it will be well worth it in the end!! 👍

I'm not stressed about the money. Just wanted to give my imput. Unfortunately edutcation requires huge amounts of cash...

Unless your parents are very wealthy you take out loans. If your living with a girlfriend or boyfriend you better hope they help you pay rent because you get budgeted for roommates. If your married it's the same scenario except now they count your spouses income in your expected family contribution, so you could potentially qualify for less financial aid.
I'm not sure how one would survive with a spouse and dependants with no spousal income. I don't know many people who could handle med school and a job, I certainly can't. My wife works now but when we have children she wants to stay at home to raise them. I expect we'll be very poor in the near future, and for quite some time after that.

In general just plan on taking out a lot of loans, it will pay off 10 or so years down the road.
