Alright so I am taking this history class online and from the start the professor has been assigning a crazy amount of work every week. What I mean is a 2 page essay every week, 1 page blog, 2 quizzes (20 questions each) and for the quizzes you either have to watch a lengthy documentary or read a couple chapters in the book. She's pretty hardcore about grading and quizzes are ultra specific. I am certain that I can handle the difficulty of the course but managing the work load has really been stressing me out for the past 2 weeks.

Here is what my course load looks like this semester:

COLLEGE PHYSICS/ Lab 4 credits

IMMUNOLGY/Lab 4 credits

BIOLOGY CALCULUS 4 credits (i get a ton of assignments)

Philopshy- 1 3 credits (Heavy reading oriented but very manageable)

Global History 3 credits (As mentioned above)

So all together it puts me at 18 credits, my question is should I withdraw from my history class because i feel it will affect my performance is the other courses? Also if withdraw before Tuesday it will not be noted on my transcript and will taking 15 credits be an issue to adcoms ( i will still graduate on time though if i take 15 fy1). Lastly I had a W in gen chem 1 if that really matters.. THANKS SORRY FOR THE LONG POST

If you don't need it, and it won't go on your transcript, drop it. Don't make life harder for yourself.

Agree.

Why would medical school care if you're taking 15 vs 18 credits? Drop it and take at a community college over the summer.

+1. I think you should drop it especially if it has no relation to your major and you have no interest in the course. Dropping a course because you lost interest or realized you didn't like the course is a perfectly acceptable reason to drop a course.

Definitely drop the course. You can get credit for it with way less of a headache if you take it at CC or with a professor who is sane. Do it before the deadline so it doesn't go on your transcript. Especially when you have exams in other classes, you don't need to be wasting time on this bull. You'll thank yourself later. Drop it it like its hot and don't look back my friend.

I usually took 13-14 credits and occasionally 12, did not matter as far as I could tell

Thanks guys for the advice the only reason i took history was because it is a core elective requirement. But none the less I will most likely drop the class!

You've got a pretty intense load; I'd drop.
