Need help visualizing cube counting problem

This is from CDP, I have no idea how they rearranged the cube to the one in the explanation, the video isn't helping me understand either.
 
Hey! Just a general tip for cubes that helped me:

Look at each cube, and see how many other cubes are "hitting it". I check really quick how many ways a cube is being hit, and use the tally method.

There are indeed 4 cubes with two faces painted. They did not rearrange it. Always remember that there is no floating cubes.
The cubes with red dots do not float. Those with a blue line on them are at the same ground level.

I know the cube cannot stand as written as there is no base, however, in their explanation they have a base with 5 × 2 cubes. I don't see any possible 5 × 2 side in the original image.

There are two hidden cubes that you cannot see from that angle. the red line shows that there is a space for a cube.
