I was wondering if I book a flight to Oakland airport, how would I get to UC Davis? I heard there is some kind of train I can take...The plane ticket is 200 bucks cheaper and I'm trying to save money. 🙂 Thanks a lot!

you can take AMTRAK to Davis or Sacramento. I think 26 or something dollars one way.

About 1 hour to Davis, about and 1 and a half to Sac by train.

There's a couple of things you can do...you can take the Supershuttle or the Davis Airporter. I know the Davis Airporter goes to SMF, but I don't know if it will go to Oakland and how much that would cost. The number for the Davis Airporter is (530) 756-6715. They like to have as much notice as possible before the trip. The Supershuttle is nationwide and I know they go to Oakland--1-800-258-3826.

If you can come in a little early, the Amtrak would be the cheapest through the Capitol Corridor route, but if you're coming in on a weekday, they can run a little late, so try not to depend on the train to get you here at a specific time on the day of the interview.
