I really need some guidance, so I would appreciate any comments. Thanks
I feel like I got really discouraged after this quarter. Im a biochem major and I recently transferred to a UC. I took genetics over the summer and aced it. However, I took stats as well as biochem along with 2 easy ge's this fall. I mainly got discouraged because I got a C in my 2nd biochem midterm. I wound up doing well bc I did well on the first midterm as well as the final. I did however get a B- in stats because I despised it, dropping my UC gpa to a 3.78. I took biochem with the hardest prof in the bio department, so the class was pretttyy hard.
Im scared that if I keep my major my gpa will go down. The professors might not be as hard as the one I just had, however I bet some of the classes will be as tough or even harder. I like biochem but dont see how all of it is applicable to medicine. I dont understand how SDS/Native PAGE gels are applicable to the study of medicine. I love physiology as much as biochem and feel that physio is more practical.
I was originally signed up to take 2 easy ge's in the winter along with pchem and cell bio however I'm thinking of switching pchem to physiology. I dont know what I should do. I started getting these thoughts as soon as I found out that I didnt do so hot on the 2nd Biochem MT. However, I feel like physiology is much easier than biochem and is more applicable to medicine. What should I do?
