I have a solid 3.0 gpa right now. I'm about to start my 2nd semester of Sophomore year (undergrad). I understand extra currics, shadowing dentists, letters of recommendation, doing well on the DAT, community service, being a lab assistant for research, all play a part in acceptance other than grades. I know dental schools like to see an upward trend of improving grades as well. Do I still have a chance at getting in? I am very worried about my grades as an undergrad right now. I know I still have time to improve, but still...

thanks.

you can bring your 3.0 up to a 3.4 or higher [depending on how many credit hours you already have] within 2 semesters if you get all A's. find a way to get the A and your extra currics will supplement your application, not make it.

im a junior with a 2.86, wil be bringing it up to 3.0 next semester.

Thats all the reassurance you should need.
