  1. Attending Physician
Final numbers are basically in at a 3.29 and a 31.

Low for MD/PhD no doubt. I would be tempted to abort and just apply MD only, but all my letters are in and basically tailored toward "accept this guy to your MD/PhD program", so I'm not sure they would fly. Besides, I kind of want to just try.

I'm alright with not getting in this year, I've got a few ideas on how to productively spend the time and think they would be worthwhile on both a professional and personal level. Still, ideally, I'd like to get started on my medical education. Am I going to get much of a consideration from the MD ADCOMM at schools I apply MD/PhD too, or is that not realistic?

Not really sure what the point of this post is. Mainly just throwing it out there for any comments or opinions...

GPA is going to be the killer. Anyway to bump it through a post-bacc or something? Honestly with that GPA even MD will be a semi-long shot, so I suggest against applying this cycle.

You might get accepted into unfunded (PhD paid for, MD not) MD/PhD or DO/PhD (all unfunded) programs. With those stats you are looking at lower tier MD programs, and that's where you would find those programs.
