i apologize because this post should belong in the reapplicant thread, but i haven't really gotten any response there. also, sorry if this situation has been covered.

Basically, i'm a reapplicant that got rejected primarily for a terrible mcat. i was able to raise it to a competitive score, but now i feel like i spent so much time raising the thing, that i have no new experiences between the applications that are valuable. should i wait another year just to get extra experiences and letters of rec, or should i just apply with a higher mcat?

You haven't done ANYTHING other than study for the MCAT since you applied last cycle? If you have worked on anything else, continuing activities, etc. dont worry about not having any other major additions. If MCAT prep is really the only thing you have done, yeah, you might want to wait...

thx for the reply. i worked small odd jobs like tutoring and secretary work, but i'm mainly worried about needing additional letters of rec. i can't get anything really helpful since most of my writers were in the first application.
