Whoa whoa whoa. Back up. We're saying what we're saying because there is NO reason to get a bachelor's in psychology if you are 100% set on pharmacy. It's a waste of time and money. You will never use your degree. If you love it and want to do it just for fun, that's your prerogative - we just don't see why you're wasting your time, money and effort if you are really set on pharmacy.

I know but passion4sci made a statement about feeling uncomfortable so I was also addressing that. 🙂

Sure will do. I can say this though, my cousin , she's into pharmacy too, and she was giving me advice on what to do etc. She suggested that I should take the PTCE to become a CPhT. I live in Maryland and that exam is required.:luck:

It's doable. Check out the PTCB website and then study up! You'll find a wealth of info on SDN about the exam and how to study for it. I know P4Sci recommends Mosby's as a study guide.

I personally used Cert. Review for the Pharm Tech by Noah Reifman, but to each their own. I had no pharmacy knowledge whatsoever (and hadn't thought to search SDN, as I was still pre-med at the time).

Yea I have I was about to ask what guides should I purchase from amazon.com. Also I found out that the college I want to attend and can afford doesn't offer to double up majors so any advice? I need to decide which to take bio or chem as a major.

Well, think about what you need to take, Stephy.

Besides the GE crap like Micro/Macro econ, English, a Behavioral Sciences, etc... both Biology and Chemistry will offer you opportunities to complete a lot of pre-requisites, and you don't have to take just the classes on the degree plans, you know! What you HAVE to do, before you proceed, is go to each pharmacy school website that you're interested in, and look at their course articulation agreements. Ensure that the classes you're taking match up with what pharmacy schools want.

For ex., at the school I finished up a couple pre-requisites at, there were three "ANatomy and Physiology" classes.

402, 430, and 431. Only 430 and 431 are articulated w/ UCSF, UoP and USC. If I'd only taken 402, well, out of luck!

So make absolutely SURE they're accepted as "transferable"!!!
