Hi, I'm considering being a neonatal NP and was just curious what those who are doing it feel about it. Is it very stressful? Do you feel like you have this little baby's life in your hands and yours alone? What are the hours like? on call? What's the schooling like? Any advice would be great!!

paris6,
the best consolidated info will be at www.allnurses.com as far as a nursing forum - they are the beees knees.
go there then to the tab <students> and you will see several forums dedicated to pre-nursing students and plenty of those topics already discussed which may help - and if not a large audience for ya.

For NNP you might look in the NP section under specialties. There is a long thread here:

You can also ask to join the neonatology forum here. OldBearProfessor has some great info, as well as a few NNP-related threads going there. And it's a nice peaceful midlevel-friendly oasis in there compared to this forum.....
